What is your current position? Humanities Librarian

Where do you work? James Madison University

When did you first know that you wanted to work in the library field? Growing up, I enjoyed going to the public library and finding different things to read.

What is your favorite part of librarianship? My favorite part is helping people on their research journey and learning new things on the way.

What was your first library or library-related job? I was a student worker at the library while I was a graduate student at Indiana University.

What projects or programs are you currently working on at your library? I am the liaison librarian for History, Philosophy & Religion, and Sociology & Anthropology.

What issue or topic in librarianship are you most interested in? My interests include humanities research, disability studies, and development.

Why are you a member of VLA and what is the most important reason to you for being a member of VLA? I am a member of VLA because I value connecting with other librarians across the state.
