Kathy PerryOn Friday, April 8 at the VLA Council Meeting at the Glen Allen Branch Library, VLA President Matt Todd presented Kathy Perry with a Presidential Citation, the text of which read: In recognition of her outstanding contributions as director of the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) and over 17 extraordinary years of creative, passionate, and dedicated leadership, during which she has developed VIVA into one of the strongest and most successful state-wide library consortia in the nation, and her hard work, warm and collegial approach which allowed her to accomplish much in an organization that is very dependent upon volunteer efforts, and her skills in both tough negotiations and in day-to-day management resulting in an exceptional efficiency in the use of funds, providing maximum benefit from Virginia’s investment in VIVA for higher education throughout the Commonwealth, this VLA Presidential Citation is issued to Kathy Perry.
