Workshop and Networking Event draws crowd

The Youth Services Forum Workshop allowed attendees to share ideas and discuss issues.

The March 2018 YSF Workshop attendees had positive things to say about the event.

March 16, 2018, was a day full of learning, laughter, and networking for Youth Services librarians across the state.

The Youth Services Forum hosted a Workshop and Networking Event at the JMRL Central Library in Charlottesville. The morning consisted of three presentations. We learned about sensory storytimes for special needs children, book talking for all ages, and self directed teen programs. After lunch, we joined others to discuss different topics. There were seven different groups we could attend to network with other librarians for ideas, discussion, and tips.

The workshop was well attended and we have already begun planning our next workshop, which will be held at the end of August. Be on the look-out for more details on the Virginia Library Association website.
