The preferred starting salary for this position is $20.03 an hour. Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. This is a full-time, non-exempt, position. This position provides reader's advisory and reference services and assistance to patrons of all ages in the use of library resources and equipment; assists with some circulation tasks and general library duties; and in the absence of a manager may occasionally be called upon to serve as the acting manager employee in charge.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MLS degree from an ALA accredited school required.
  • Previous library experience and knowledge of general reference sources and a willingness to read both juvenile and young adult literature required.
  • Experience with MS Office suite and online reference resources required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of previous library work experience is preferred.
