DATE ENTERED: November 6, 2023 To provide user assistance, student supervision, operational support, and facilities oversight in the Learning Commons @ Perry Library during evening, overnight, and weekend service hours. Position works evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications Some knowledge of effective supervisory techniques. Considerable knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Basic knowledge of effective research techniques. Considerable oral and written communication skills. Considerable organizational and record keeping skills. Basic critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Basic computer applications skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to take initiative and work well independently. Ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to learn and develop new skills. Considerable experience in providing quality customer service in a public setting. Some supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications Basic library research experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Conditions of Employment Hourly (wage) employees are restricted to working 29 hours per week on average or 1500 hours in total in the May 1 – April 30 period. This position does not have health insurance, retirement or leave. Position includes working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Hourly Rate between $14.60/hr. - $16.80/hr.
