 Business & Data Analytics Librarian

Raymond A. Mason School of Business

William & Mary

The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary works to prepare students to accomplish great things through engagement and exceptional instruction. Each employee of the Mason School helps to provide an outstanding student experience that supports this goal.  They also enhance the Mason community by supporting and championing the vision to be entrepreneurial and innovative while leading students down the path to principled achievement.

The Business & Data Analytics Librarian is a new member of the recently restructured McLeod Business Library team at William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business. The McLeod Business Library plays a critical role within the School of Business, as it partners with faculty to identify, retrieve, procure, and store critical data and information necessary to highlight faculty research impact and the School’s thought leadership; it prepares students to be responsible consumers of information through targeted information literacy instruction, research services, outreach, and employment opportunities; and it works with staff in support of the University’s Research Information Management Systems, Assurance of Learning, and accreditation efforts through metadata retrieval and input, artifact rating, and assessment. In this newly envisioned position, the Business & Data Analytics Librarian has the opportunity to expand on the already robust information literacy instruction and research services currently provided by McLeod Business Library by designing and implementing instruction, research services, technologies, and outreach activities that cultivate and nurture the data and digital fluencies necessary for principled business success.
