SALARY:     $49,860 with excellent benefits

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires MLS from ALA-accredited institution.  Prior public library and supervisory experience preferred.  Must qualify for certification by the North Carolina Public Library Certification Board.

DUTIES:    Performs administrative and supervisory work and also plans and directs the activities and programs of the Currituck County Library. Supervises staff, acts as representative of the library and seeks library involvement throughout the community.  Serves as department head, responsible for budgeting, selection of materials and evaluating personnel.  Reports to the Regional Library Director.

NOTE:    Currituck County, North Carolina is situated in northeastern North Carolina, and located near the Hampton Roads, Virginia metropolitan area (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach) as well as the beaches of North Carolina's Outer Banks.  Currituck County is a great place to both work and live.  Currituck County delivers library service via three modern libraries located in Barco, Corolla and Moyock.
