This position provides technology support for library staff desktop computers; coordinates technology training; assists Systems Development staff with computer activities and systems operations

Required Qualifications
Demonstrated working knowledge of supporting desktop computers. Demonstrated considerable customer service skills. Demonstrated considerable written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated basic technology training skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, organize work and apply time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects. Demonstrated ability to work with computer systems. Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of software. Demonstrated considerable ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed directions and to apply knowledge of policies and practices to a project. Basic experience using microcomputers in a work environment, including solving computer operation problems, installing software, utilizing a variety of computer application programs, and training staff on using software and operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some knowledge of technical support ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred). Some experience providing technology training: one-on-one, group, face-to-face, online, and/or asynchronous. Basic understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy. Some experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
