Technology Trainer and Support Specialist (00111A) – Full-time position

This position provides technology support for library staff desktop computers; coordinates technology training; assists Systems Development staff with computer activities and systems operations

Required Qualifications
Basic working knowledge of desktop computers. Excellent written and oral communication skills.  
Effective basic customer service skills. Demonstrated basic ability to organize work and manage time. Demonstrated basic ability to work independently on projects. Demonstrated basic ability to work with computer systems. Demonstrated basic ability to work with a variety of software.
Basic ability to adapt to changing tasks and work schedules. Basic ability to prioritize work, organize work and apply time management skills. Basic ability to follow detailed directions and to apply knowledge of policies and practices to a project. Some experience using microcomputers in a work environment; including solving computer operation problems, installing software and utilizing a variety computer application programs.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of technical support ticketing systems (ServiceNow). Some experience providing technology training: one-on-one, group, face-to-face, online, and/or asynchronous.
Some understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy. Some experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
