INTRODUCTION: The Prince William County Public library has over 1.4 million visitors to branches every year, and logs over 1 million website users. In addition, the system provides more than 3.6 million materials borrowed every year to the residents of the Prince William area. Prince William Public Libraries is seeking two dynamic and enthusiastic Branch Managers (Senior Library Manager) to provide leadership and direction to a team of public service professionals at Chinn Park Regional Library and Montclair Community Library. The Branch Manager position is ideal for a leader with strong management skills who is ready to impact the third year of our current strategic plan. The Branch Manager must have a passion for creating an environment of teamwork that embraces change and excellent customer service. He/she must possess effective management skills and experience and be knowledgeable about the administrative and programmatic operations of public libraries in a busy, high profile, suburban setting. The Branch Manager will have the ability to impact the future of library services and affect culture and organizational change, as we continue offering/phasing in library branches in a regional area acutely impacted by the nationwide pandemic. SCHEDULE: These are full-time, 37.5 hours per week exempt positions. Both branches are currently open 6 days a week, with an anticipated return to a 7-day schedule in 2021. The schedule includes days, evenings, and weekends. Schedule may vary depending upon the needs of the library. ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $79,009 - $96,452.50 SCHEDULE: Prince William County Public Library is a seven day per week operation. This is a full-time exempt position. Hours will vary. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in library or information science and 6 years of related experience.
