ACQUISITIONS ASSOCIATE – TECHNICAL SERVICES

Randolph-Macon College invites applications for a full-time Acquisitions Associate in the McGraw Page Library. Reporting to the Head of Library Technical Services, this individual is responsible for coordinating all Library purchasing, working closely with a variety of vendors and purchasing platforms, searching for and selecting bibliographic records in OCLC for library materials; receiving materials;  approving invoices and maintaining library financial records with the College’s Business Office; and maintaining inventory of office supplies for the Library.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A) from an accredited college or university and purchasing experience required. Library experience is preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with accepted accounting practices and ethics is essential in this role. Candidate must have the ability to plan, manage, and oversee multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize work while working effectively with students, faculty, staff, administration, and public users of the Library. Skill in use of Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite required.
