POSITION: Resource Sharing Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Resource Sharing Coordinator manages and participates in the operation of Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery.
Essential responsibilities: Assists in planning and implementing Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery. Assists with setting policies, establishing workflows and goals, writing procedures, and planning improvements in collaboration with Head of Access Services & Student Engagement. Guides and participates in searches, processing, and order placement. Assists and educates patrons. Oversees copyright compliance, tracks records and invoices, sends bills, and requests payments. Monitors and compiles statistics. Keeps Collection Management Librarian informed about observed trends in ILL requests from RU patrons. Maintains proficiency with ILLiad; collaborates with Systems Librarian about updates to ILLiad. Serves as direct supervisor of the Resource Sharing Specialist.

Qualifications:  
Required:  Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education, experience, or training.  Experience working in Interlibrary Loan; bibliographic searching skills; experience using electronic resources; knowledge of license and copyright issues; self-motivation; excellent communication skills; ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred:  Library circulation experience; experience working with Interlibrary Loan in a college or university library setting; experience with ILLiad; supervisory experience; experience using OCLC’s WMS integrated library system.

Degree of physical activity:  Sedentary - 10 lbs. lifting, occasional lifting and/or carrying small objects, mostly sitting, some walking and standing necessary
