As the library administrator, you will oversee the daily operations of all facets of public services in your branch, Duties include supervision, budget oversight, facilities management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing excellent internal and external customer service, and may include coordinating passport services and/or maker lab space.   You will serve as the liaison to the Friends of the Library group, which supports robust branch programming.

This position reports to the Deputy Director.

PREFERENCES:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of personnel management, experience with budgets, managing operations within a facility, excellent customer service skills, and experience in implementing 21st century public library trends and best practices.  The successful candidate will be ready and able to effectively supervise a busy community library branch serving a diverse population of library users and be an active and engaged member of the Public Services Management Team.

SCHEDULE:
Potomac Community Library and Montclair Community Library are open 7 days a week, year-round, so flexible scheduling is required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Library Administrator positions require travel between branches and other County venues. The successful candidate must pass a DMV check in order to operate a vehicle while performing County/Library business.
