POSITION: Interlibrary Services Coordinator

The Hollins University Wyndham Robertson Library is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Interlibrary Services Coordinator.  This position is responsible for providing excellent interlibrary lending and borrowing services to the Hollins community and colleagues at other libraries.  The work schedule is approximately 1-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday.

The Interlibrary Services Coordinator processes requests for materials the library does not own and requests from other libraries to borrow its materials, and communicates about and tracks the status of lending and borrowing requests.  This position also collects and analyzes interlibrary loan usage data, oversees spaces reservable by students, manages and maintains the interlibrary loan software, and makes recommendations for changes to library policies and procedures as necessary.  Additionally, the coordinator works in partnership with the circulation coordinator to provide library materials for the Hollins community, and will assist in training and supervising 20-25 part-time student employees working in interlibrary services and circulation.  The coordinator may have primary responsibility for evaluating and managing some of these student employees.  The Interlibrary Services Coordinator reports to the Public Services Librarian.

Successful applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in customer service or a related area. 

Candidates must also have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, accuracy, detail, and basic software troubleshooting skills, as well as abilities to prioritize and work proactively and independently.  Preferred applicants will have a college degree, experience working in a library (particularly within interlibrary loan), and supervisory experience.
