Are you interested in being part of the team that transitions Prince William Public Library System into a 21st century model of innovation?  The Library Services Manager (Librarian II) position is ideal for the supervisor who is interested in transitioning into branch management at a library with a smaller footprint.  The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to manage staff and a rotation of volunteers.  Nokesville Neighborhood Library was recently refreshed in January 2019 and serves a small community of active and enthusiastic library users in a growing area of Prince William County.

As the supervisor of a neighborhood library, you will oversee the daily operations of all facets of public services in your branch.  Duties include supervision, budget oversight, facilities management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders, promoting excellent customer service.  As a part of the public services management team, you will have the ability to impact the future of library services and effect culture and organizational change.  Come join a team that offers excellent benefits, opportunities for professional development and a competitive salary.

PREFERENCES: The successful candidate will have experience with personnel management, budgeting, managing operations within a facility, excellent customer service skills. Familiarity with 21st century public library trends and best practices is must!

SCHEDULE: Work hours are generally 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Most neighborhood libraries are closed on Friday and Sunday. Nokesville Neighborhood Library is currently open 5 days a week, year round, so flexible scheduling is required.  Plans include adding Friday hours in the near future.

Hiring Range:   $50,485.50 - $68,094
