Introduction
Prince William Public Library is seeking an engaging, results oriented Program and Outreach Coordinator with a zest for implementing innovative  programming and outreach initiatives, strong oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to providing extraordinary customer service to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to plan, execute and coordinate quality library programs and events for adults and children in collaboration with library programmers and supervisory staff at 11 branch locations, which include two regional libraries, four community libraries, and five neighborhood library branches, serving Prince William County, and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
In addition, the ideal candidate must demonstrate applicable knowledge of current and emerging library trends in programming and outreach, as well as solid knowledge of public library programming and outreach best practices and evaluation methods. Will coordinate logistics for large-scale events and programs, including Greater Prince William Reads, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, the Summer Reading Program, and 100 Books Before College. Works closely with Office of Community Engagement to promote programs for children, teens, and adults. Must be able to represent the Library and the County in a positive and appropriate manner at external public events, serving on community committees, and when working with the Library Board and Library Foundation.  In addition, the position supervises a staff and volunteers.

PREFERENCES: Professional experience in public library programming and outreach services, especially in the areas of STEM, service to seniors, and service and programming to and for diverse populations. Experience implementing strategic plans is desirable.

SCHEDULE: This is a 37.5 hour position, working 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, occasional evenings and weekends to coordinate program and outreach events.

Hiring Range:  $55,828.50 - $75,309
