VLACRL is the Virginia Library Association’s College & Research Libraries Section, and the Virginia Chapter of the Association of College & Research Libraries.

Our core purpose is to lead academic & research librarians and libraries in advancing learning and scholarship.

The Evolution of Research Data: Strategies for Curation and Data Management

The event will feature speakers addressing managing and curating research data with representatives from University of Virginia faculty, research institutions,

and Elsevier coming together to examine the implementation stages, available technologies and associated challenges and barriers for managing, preserving and accessing research data. Attendees will leave armed with valuable information to engage their respective organizational stakeholders to initiate and continue long-term research and data management efforts.

Elections for co-chair and secretary/treasurer are held at the VLA Conference in October of each year.  The term is for 2 years, starting in October.  The co-chair becomes the chair in the second year of the term.
