19. Do you have any other comments you would like to make at this time?

No (16 “no” responses were given)
Make the annual VLA conference less public library oriented.
Day of program doesn’t matter to me.  I selected Wed so you would receive the survey.  A response for “doesn’t matter” would have been helpful.
Thanks for working on this!
MOst conference programs seem more focused on Youth Services and academic libraries – need more public library oriented topics
would like to see return of reagional workshops, (example) Longwood College, used to be used for (1) day training, ie, internet, persaonnel issues, cataloging, general information and development prog
Some questions were hard to answer.  For instance, I am willing to travel up to 60 miles for a 1/2 day workshop, but would travel further for a 21 day conferenc  The same applies to registration feee.
My workplace (paraprofessionals don’t seem to value the MLS and even seem to disparage it. Some work needs to be done on the value of the degree.
I was a ALA & VLA member years ago, then became VEMA Lifetime member. Just couldn’t afford the time or money to do both. Any chance of discounting membership to people who join both?
The 2004 VLA Conference was enjoyable and informative.
I really enjoyed this year’s 2004 VLA Confrence. I look forward to attending next year’s conference if I am afforded the opportunity.
library clerical should automatically be recognized as a member of VLA
I work in Charlottesville–it’s possible to do training here
I have always wondered why Virginia does not have a graduate program for library education
would like to get my MLS; wish VA had a school (yes, I know there are distance learning options)
I really appreciated the programming at VLA meeting provided by Andrew Sanderson and the opening session motivational spearker; would like to see more of that.
I waas a member, but the dues are getting to high for a part-time worker.
