● Please note that there is a $50 extra fee for on-site full conference registration and a $25 extra fee for a one day on-site registration. This fee is not applicable if you choose OPTION 1 and fax or email your form prior to Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Some good reasons to attend this [...]]]> Registration is open for the 2010 VLA Annual Conference to be held October 21-22 in Portsmouth, Va. A limited block of rooms at the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel is available for VLA conference attendees at the VLA’s negotiated discount rate. Rooms are going fast, so please make your reservation soon.

Some good reasons to attend this year’s conference:

• Terrific pre-conference (p. 5) and conference programs! There is something of interest to everyone! Whether you want to learn about youth or adult services, public/academic/special/school libraries, leadership or technology, etc. — the conference has it covered.
• Opportunities for networking abound! Where else can you meet with librarians from all the state’s disparate regions in one place? Only at your state conference!
• Cost of attendance is reasonable. Not only do you benefit from in-state travel, the registration fee is nominal compared to national conferences.
