The Publications Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Carol Wittig, Head of Instruction and Information Services at the University of Richmond’s Boatwright Library, as the new VLA Newsletter Editor. Carol received a BA and MA in English from the University of Akron and her MLS from Kent State University.

Carol began her library career at Southwest Texas Junior College and prior to coming to Virginia in May 2008, worked at Wright State University, Clark State Community College, and the United States Army Garrison, Benelux, Chievres Library in Belgium. Carol also has teaching experience at a number of colleges and universities including Wright State University and the University of Maryland University College.

From 2002–2005, Carol served as Editor of the Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) Newsletter. Welcome Carol and help her continue the great work of VLA by sending your news items to her at cwittig@richmond.edu. Her responsibility as Editor begins with the February issue of 2009.
