CaTS at the Beach!

VLA's Collections & Technical Services Forum (CaTS) will be having another of their forums/workshops on March 23 at Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach. This all-day (10 am- 4 pm) forum will be the first of this format to focus on cataloging issues. Topics will include: electronic formats, technical services workflows, challenges of cataloging & processing audio/visual materials, cataloging best practices and your questions.

CaTS Chairs Liz Steyer and Jessica Robertson will moderate our forum and our panelists will be Mary Anne Dyer, Metadata Catalog Librarian, Virginia Commonwealth University; Carol Farmer, Technical Services Manager, Appomattox Regional Library System; Heather McIntosh, Cataloger, Botetourt County Public Library System; Sophie Rondeau, Technical Services Librarian, Virginian Wesleyan University and myself. Please note registration is free but limited to 45 participants. Parking is free and all participants will be required to go through a security gate when they enter the campus. Overnight accommodations are available. Lunch will be on your own. There is a dining hall on campus and a buffet lunch costs around $6.50. There are also a number of fast food options on Northhampton Boulevard (within a 5-10 minute drive from campus). If you have any questions, please let me or the CaTS crew know.
