Chesterfield County Public Library is seeking a Senior Administrative Analyst to lead the evaluation and analyzation of quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to library measures from integrated library system and other third-party service providers, Census data, and library and county survey results.  

Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, business, or related field.  Master of Library Science from an ALA accredited program preferred.  Three years of experience providing professional-level administrative, operational or statistical analysis support in a public library or other public agency preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  Considerable knowledge of public library operations, research tools and techniques.  Ability to conduct difficult and special research projects, including gathering, compiling and analyzing information; provide alternatives and make recommendations on courses of action.  Ability to conduct complex analytical studies, prepare analytical reports and give presentations on findings.  Effective storytelling/summary writing skills and ability to write clearly and concisely.  Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.  Responsible, reliable and adaptable to change.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and engage with a diverse audience within and outside of the organization.  Exceptional customer service skills.  Ability to work independently, and with a team.  Ability to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and operate a computer as well as related software and other standard office equipment.  Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  Knowledge of Checkbox software preferred.  Working knowledge of library software Sierra and Innovative preferred.  

Prepare analytical and statistical reports specific to the library and present findings orally and in writing; lead the administration of Chesterfield County Public Library (CCPL) surveys and focus groups as directed by the library director.  Prepare metric reports for library administration to communicate the impact and value of library services, and translate results to reports on progress in support of the library's mission and values.  Assist library staff, managers and administration with collection, clean-up, review, analysis, and presentation of library data throughout the library system.  Assist with the creation and analysis of operational management reports such as the semi-annual branch report as well as monthly and yearly reports.  Troubleshoot technical, operational and strategic problems using data and reports generated by the various departments throughout the county and library system.  Provide expertise with ILS data analysis tools including Sierra and Innovative.  Perform other work as required.
