The Intellectual Freedom Committee invites you to enter our annual
Celebrate our freedom to read by sharing your ideas, creativity, and inspiration with others. Also check out the American Library Association's Banned Books Week website
Banned Books Week Display Contest.You could: have your display featured on the IFC web site, mentioned in the VLA Newsletter; and be awarded a certificate of recognition.
Contest rules:
- Fill out the entry form and sign the release.
- Enclose a color photograph of your display. Hard copy or electronic graphic formats (gif and jpeg) are acceptable. Photos will not be returned!
- Enclose any handouts, bookmarks, or other material you made available to your patrons. Hard copy or electronic formats (Word, Word Perfect, PDF) are acceptable. Materials will not be returned!
- Displays will be evaluated on the basis of content and creative design. The winning entry will foster critical thinking on the issues of censorship and support open access to challenged materials in the commonwealth.
All entries must be received by October 17, 2004!
