This contract program between SCHEV and the Southern Regional Education Board provides grants to 15 students at two of the three ALA accredited MLS programs in North Carolina - the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina Central University. Currently there are 12 slots at UNC Chapel Hill and 2 at North Carolina Central University. The number of grants available each year varies since the Chapel Hill program is a two-year program and support is available for both years. For the 1996-98 biennium, each recipient receives $4500 per year. To be eligible, you must be accepted at one of the participating graduate

Coordinator (Stephen C. Scott
