For job hunters, our Jobline is a valuable resource, with new openings being added every week.
VLA is the only organization in the state that is for all types of libraries and the people who work in them. Our members are from public, academic, school and special libraries and also include library trustees and students. Every year we hold two conferences: our Annual conference in the fall and our nationally recognized Paraprofessional Conference in the spring. Throughout the year, various units hold workshops that provide continuing education opportunities.
The Virginia Library Association is a member run organization. Volunteers organize conferences and workshops, conduct legislative activities, and edit publications. We hope you will join us!
