There is a new grant sponsored jointly by the Bank of America and the Institute of Museum and Library Services called American Heritage Preservation Program. Woodson and the Origins of Multiculturalism.” Woodson (1875–1950), known as the “Father of Black History,” devoted his life to increasing public awareness of African-American history.
