Save the Date: Virginia Library Association Annual Conference 2012

Libraries: Adding Value to Our Communities

Virginia Library Association Annual Conference 2012

October 24-26, 2012 Williamsburg Hotel and Convention Center Williamsburg, Virginia

Join your colleagues in the Virginia library community October 24-26th at the Williamsburg Hotel and Conference Center (formerly the Williamsburg Marriott) as they share the many ways libraries add value to our communities  — and dream up some new ways together.

Keynote Speakers for VLA 2012 Nancy Dowd – John Cotton Dana Award-winning Librarian and author of Bite-Sized Marketing: Realistic Solutions for Overworked Librarians (ALA Editions). Hillary Jordan – Author of When She Woke (Algonquin) and the Alex award-winning Mudbound (Algonquin).

Dozens of concurrent sessions will reveal the inside story of how Virginia librarians are adding value to their communities.  Virginia Library Association forums and committees will meet.  A wide variety of library vendors will be on hand to show off the latest supporting products and technologies.  And there will be time to relax and network socially without computers.

All this and free WiFi too!  Plan on joining your friends and colleagues in Williamsburg this October!
