The 20th VLA Paraprofessional Forum Conference plans are underway! Submit your Concurrent Session Proposals by January 5, 2012! The Virginia Library Association Paraprofessional Forum Annual Conference will be held May 20-22, 2012 at the Holiday Inn Koger Conference Center in Richmond, VA. Mark your calendar and plan to join us as we celebrate the 20th year for this conference. We will be focusing on Communication – how it has changed in 20 years and how our day-to-day activities depend on how we communicate with each other.
The Forum serves as the formal and informal source of information for paraprofessionals; allows us to make meaningful contributions to VLA and benefit from the Associations support and guidance; fosters communication among library employees and provides a mechanism for recognition of those paraprofessional who demonstrate excellence in their areas of expertise while strengthening the image of the paraprofessional.
We are still seeking presenters for the concurrent sessions until January 5, 2012. Registration and hotel information for May 2012 will be posted to the web page in a few months.
If you have questions about our association or conference, please feel free to contact Deloris Thomas, djthom@wm.edu or co-chair Susan Carroll, carrollsk@longwood.edu.
