What does this mean for you? Well, if you’re a Wrimo it means you’ll have a cozy library in your neighborhood where you can write your NaNo masterpiece! If you’re a library staff member, you’ll be able to welcome a whole bunch of avid readers and writers into your library.
Library staff can check out The Library Outreach Guide (or download a PDF). This will give you all of the details about the program. In a nutshell, you’ll need to provide a space with a large table or desks, where Wrimos can come in during the month of November and work. You’ll also need to have lots of outlets so that everyone can plug in their laptops! You can set aside a space as frequently as you like during the month–every week or just once or twice–whatever works best for you!
To help you promote NaNoWriMo in your library, free Library Kits are available! If you would like to order one, please email us at libraries@lettersandlight.org for the hidden link to the online store item! The kit includes a poster, a window cling, and a stack of bookmarks! *Note- We are all out of kits for 2010. Thanks so much to everyone who ordered one! We’ll have more kits available next year for NaNo 2011.
