New Associate University Librarian for Information Resources and Technology at Old Dominion University Libraries

Mr. George Fowler has accepted the position of Associate University Librarian for Information Resources and Technology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, effective January 25, 2011.  Mr. Fowler comes to Old Dominion from the University of Arkansas where he served as Head, Library Systems Department since 2006.  Prior to Arkansas, he worked at Temple University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  He has also served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army in Iraq and in the National Guard in New Jersey.  Mr. Fowler received his MS in Library Science and a BS in Information Science from the University of North Texas.
