To encourage members to continue their education, the Roanoke Valley Library Association annually offers scholarships to members enrolled in an ALA-accredited school. Membership is limited to residents of the Roanoke Valley area and immediately surrounding counties with RVLA membership. $250 is divided among the applicants. A completed application must be submitted by mail by January 31, 2011 to the chair of the Scholarship Committee (Joey Klein, Roanoke Law Library- City of Roanoke Courthouse, Roanoke, VA 24016).
