Culturally “In”sensitive Materials
Date: Thursday, August 5, 2010
Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Location: Old Dominion University Education Building Room 244
This one day workshop will focus on identifying materials for children that use inappropriate stereotypes. Specific examples from historical books will be used first, and then participants will spend time examining more recent materials in conjunction with published reviews where available. 5 contact hours provided for recertification or participation credits. Dr. Doll, ODU faculty and LUCY team.
$200 plus $25 fee for CEUs.
