I never admitted to waiving $1400 in fines, nor, in fact, was I accused of such. That $1400 figure was spread over two branches of five employees each in addition to three pages between the two branches and a period of three months. Statements issued by the library systems have, by implication, made it appear as though I was the culprit, if such there was, in waiving the whole sum. However, I was but one of many in the system. How odd that I was the one singled out for it all.
